CEMS Products

The PCME STACK 710 Opacity monitor is designed to meet and exceed US EPA PS-1 requirements for Opacity measurement from combustion stacks. The instrument provides low level measurement capability through advanced LED design, has no continuously moving parts, and offers class leading performance through outstanding reliability.

As part of the ENVEA UK family of products, the PCME STACK 710 supports multi-sensor Modbus networking, stand-alone operation or easy integration into existing plant control systems.

Key Features

The PCME STACK 710 uses a homogeneous advance LED light source to reduce the effect of misalignment on the measured opacity. Together with a 'Flood LED', the instrument achieves the highest levels of stability and accuracy. The 'no moving parts' optical system gives an instrument with exceptional reliability and proven low measurement capability beyond most standard Opacity monitors.

  • Automatic Self Checks
  • Fail-Safe Shutters

Process Conditions

The PCME STACK 710 is suitable for:

  • Electro-filters, e.g. electrostatic precipitators
  • Stacks after bag filters, cartridge filters, cyclones, or no filter
  • Non-condensing / dry flue gases*
  • Variable flue gas velocities, including low velocity flue gases
  • Variable particulate size and type
  • Large diameter stacks

* For wet/condensing flue gas applications see PCME STACK 181 WS

Performance:

  • Approvals:

- QAL1 approved to EN 15267-3 (for EN 14181, EN ISO 14956) under TUV (BlmSch 17, 13, 27: latest revision)

- PS-11 / PS-1 compliance under US EPA standards for PM CEMs

  • Measurement range:

- Opacity 0-10% to 0-100%

- Optical Density 0-0.01 to 0-3.0

  • Accuracy: +/- 2% Opacity
  • Long term zero drift: < 0.3% Opacity / month
  • Thermal Stability: < 0.3% Opacity / 22°C ambient change
  • Stack Diameter: 2 – 10 m
