Temperature Instruments

The electrical temperature measuring at WIKA is divided into two groups of sensors:

- Resistance thermometers (resistance sensors)

- Thermocouples

Resistance thermometers

Resistance thermometers are equipped with platinum sensor elements which change their electrical resistance as a function of temperature. In our range of products you will find resistance thermometers with connected cable as well as versions with connection head.

Typical model: TR10, TR11, TR21,TR25, TR40, TR45, TR50…

Common feature includes:

  • Measuring ranges: -196…600 °C
  • Measuring element:

- Pt100, class A or B per DIN EN 60751

- Pt1000, class A or B per DIN EN 60751

- NTC, KTY, Ni1000

  • Wiring: 2-wire, 3-wire, 4-wire
  • All type of electrical connection: screw terminals, plug connection, bare wires…
  • All type of process connection design: without process connection, thread, compression fitting, flange…
  • Stem material: stainless steel (316L, 316Ti , 316…), brass
  • Can be used with or without thermowell
  • Explosion-proof versions available for usage in hazardous area.
  • Special products: multipoint resistance thermometer

Thermocouple

Thermocouples for temperature measurement up to 1,700 °C

Thermocouples generate a voltage directly dependent on temperature. They are particularly suited for high temperatures up to 1,700 °C.

Typical model: TC10, TC12, TC40, TC46, TC47, TC50, TC90…

Common feature includes:

  • Measuring ranges: -40…1700 deg C
  • Measuring element: Thermocouple type K, N, J, E, T, R, S, B
  • All type of electrical connection: screw terminals, plug connection, bare wires…
  • All type of process connection design: without process connection, thread, compression fitting, flange…
  • Stem material: stainless steel, others on request
  • Explosion-proof versions available for usage in hazardous area.
  • Special product: high pressure thermocouple for general high-pressure applications
